Ulm / Merseburg, February 29, 2024. Although the KPA, held during the last two days of February, is “relatively small and family-oriented compared to Fakuma or the K Trade Fair,” Putsch confirms, “we welcomed decision-makers from numerous leading OEMs to our stand—from well-known automotive manufacturers to consumer goods companies and plastics processors,” says the Sales Manager of Exipnos GmbH, a producer of bioplastics and other technical polymers based in Merseburg, Saxony-Anhalt. The exhibition halls were completely booked with 193 exhibitors—an increase of more than 40 percent compared to the previous year. Visitor numbers also rose sharply from 1,377 (2023) to an impressive 2,019.
POLYKUM was represented with a joint exhibition stand supported by three member companies. Alongside Exipnos, Techniplas Schwäbisch Gmünd GmbH, a specialist in plastic surface coating, and ScheZe GmbH, an innovative recycling company from the Black Forest, joined forces for the exhibition. “We will gladly return next year,” confirms Norbert Weiss of Techniplas, one of POLYKUM e.V.’s newest members. In addition to the exhibition concept itself, the POLYKUM joint stand proved highly attractive for the company, which was founded in 1977. “At the stand, we complemented each other not only with our product portfolios but also in customer support. We were able to refer several visitors directly to our co-exhibitors when discussions revealed common areas of interest.” Weiss also highlights another advantage of the shared appearance: “The joint stand reduces both organizational effort and costs for all participants to a minimum.”
